Discussion​

  • Shared progress on the API integration for the Groups and Folders management pages, including the ongoing migration and alignment with REST API v2.
  • Updated mentors on the code changes made in response to the Pull Request review comments and discussed the improvements incorporated into the implementation.
  • Shared the start of the Admin Pages implementation, including the Agent Monk page and License Compatibility Rules pages.
  • Raised a few doubts regarding API endpoints and backend behavior encountered during the implementation. Mentors advised revisiting these queries in the following week after consulting the organization administrators and suggested continuing with the UI implementation in the meantime.
  • Discussed the plan to continue implementing the remaining Admin pages while progressively completing their API integration.

    • Shared updates on the ongoing review of the Pull Request related to the reuse implementation and overall project progress.
    • Mentioned the recent small FOSSology 4.7 release, which primarily included fixes related to copyright readings.

    • Shared the finalized project timeline and informed the community that corresponding GitHub issues had been created to track the planned milestones.
    • Updated the community on the ongoing code refactoring, including improvements to shared UI components, reusable components, and alignment with the Storybook-based design system provided by Devanshi.
    • Mentioned the ongoing migration of the frontend from FOSSology REST API v1 to API v2, following the openapiv2.yaml specification.
    • Shared the completion of the Upload module implementation, including Upload from File, Server, URL, VCS, Import Report, and One-Shot Analysis pages, along with successful testing of uploads and analyses.
    • Informed the community that a Pull Request containing these implementations had been raised and was under review.
    • Shared the completion of the lower-complexity Groups and Folders management pages and mentioned the start of implementation of the lower-complexity Admin pages.
    • Discussed the plan to continue implementing the remaining low complexity Admin pages during the upcoming week.

  • Progressed with the REST API v2 integration for the Group and Folder management pages.

  • Incorporated the code changes and improvements requested during the Pull Request review.
  • Continued refactoring the codebase where required to maintain consistency with the updated project structure and API patterns.
  • Updated the existing Pull Request with the latest implementation and review-requested changes.

Next Steps​

  • Continue implementing the remaining Admin pages, including License Administration pages, Tags, Scheduler, and Maintenance pages.
  • Clarify the API endpoint and backend-related issues encountered during the implementation with mentors and organization administrators.
  • Continue integrating the remaining pages with REST API v2 as the required endpoints become available or are clarified.
  • Review and address any feedback received on the submitted Pull Request.
  • Continue refactoring and improving the codebase wherever required to maintain consistency and reusability.
  • Open a new Pull Request containing the latest implementations, API integration, and refactoring changes for mentor review.
